Efforts to reduce light pollution

Through thoughtful lighting design both inside and outside the hotel premises, we aim to minimize unnecessary outdoor lighting. We use lighting systems that contribute to the preservation of local ecosystems and energy efficiency.
During our on-site Shani-Shani Stargazing Tour, we share not only the beauty of Ishigaki Island’s starlit skies, but also the importance of countermeasures against light pollution.

Efforts to reduce plastic use

We actively encourage the use of personal bottles such as flasks and tumblers. To support this, we have installed water dispensers and ice machines in two convenient locations within the hotel.
We also use environmentally friendly options, including plastic-free butterfly cups and reusable tableware and cutlery that can be washed and used again.

“Necessary items in the necessary amount.”

To reduce single-use plastics, five room amenities (toothbrushes, razors, combs, hairbrushes, and shower caps) are available at our Amenity Bar, allowing guests to select along their needs.

Preserving water resources and protecting the marine environment

We promote eco-friendly cleaning services as part of our commitment to conserving water and energy. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Additionally, we regularly conduct clean-up activities on the beach in front of the hotel and in the surrounding area.

Local production for local consumption

We collaborate with producers of agricultural and livestock products from the Yaeyama Islands and across Okinawa Prefecture. These fresh, local ingredients are featured in our restaurant menus.
Our hotel shop also offers a wide selection of locally made food products and traditional crafts.
